Labarde – Chateau Dauzac
The Chateau Dauzac is a few kilometers away from Margaux but still retains the Margaux area for its wines. The Benedictine monks used to run the place, but were bought out in 1685.
The castle is not much as a castle, more a big villa.
The Chateau is set on 120 hectares (296 acres) of land, of which 49 hectares (121 acres) are used for the wines.
The castle (villa) is set in a beautiful setting:
The Chateau Dauzac produces 280,000 bottles of wine.
