Located just a few kilometers from Margaux, the Chateau Dauzac produces wines that are still considered part of the Margaux appellation. Once managed by Benedictine monks, the estate was sold in 1685.
The castle is not much as a castle, more a big villa.
The Chateau is set on 120 hectares (296 acres) of land, of which 49 hectares (121 acres) are used for the wines.
The castle (villa) is set in a beautiful setting:
The Chateau Dauzac produces 280,000 bottles of wine.
